The Professional Touch

Lesley always provides a quality service and brings your old furniture back to life.

lesley-239×300

Lesley has over 25 years experience in Traditional and Modern Upholstery – and gained numerous City & Guilds qualifications in Upholstery, together with a Teaching qualification from Lincoln College and three years at Bishop Burton College where she graduated with an HNC in Upholstery – Student of the Year with Distinction.

Lesley began running Upholstery courses/workshops in 2003 for Lincoln County Council at a number of venues including Horncastle and Gainsborough Colleges together with her own private classes.

It gives Lesley great pleasure in passing on her skills to her learners and this enthusiasm makes the classes informative and enjoyable.  She finds it very rewarding to see her learners create stunning pieces of work with some of them setting up their own businesses and going on further to gain Upholstery qualifications.

Over the years it is amazing how many headboards, ottomans, chairs, stools, sofas have been brought back to life… a few bus, tractor and lorry seats too! To see the potential in old pieces of furniture is a fantastic achievement – one less for the skip!

Lesley and her learners have raised money for many charities over the years through their sale of furniture and fabrics.

Dear Lesley, Thank you for coming to our WI last night. Everyone enjoyed your talk and information about Upholstery. The amazing transformation from tatty item to an item of luxury, must be so rewarding.

Lesley, We really enjoyed the course, it has instilled a real interest in us both and we are keen to get settled  and complete our chairs.  I hope we can find a class as enjoyable on the Island.  I doubt we could find a better teacher. Best Wishes
